BLACK 25x40cm black sticky traps, extremely effective in controlling Tuta absoluta, are used together with the tuta pheromone. Studies show, that black traps compared to colorless and colored traps appear to be more effective in the fight against Tuta absoluta. Black traps, when used in conjunction with the Tuta absoluta pheromone, has shown extremely successful results.

Advantages: Black sticky traps, bearing the feature of a natural attractant, do not affect useful insects, especially in the areas of biological control, Black traps do not attract other insects that live in the same environment, thus the sticky surface of the trap maintains active for a longer period of time.

Usage and Dosage: 4-6 black traps are to be placed per decar for controlling Tuta absoluta at appropriate intervals (one trap per 200 m²), to be placed at a height of approximately 40-50 cm above the ground, parallel to the ground and pheromone attached onto it. Both sides of the trap is covered with special adhesive.

For Monitoring
Just after planting, black sticky traps have to be hung 20cm above the plant, with the intent of monitoring. Parallel to plant growing, traps have to be risen. Traps have to be checked frequently to count pests. After counting the caught adult pests, they have to be removed and trap has to be changed with new one.
Usage of sticky black traps with the intent of monitoring is a very effective to determine the time and method in plant protection.

For Mass-trapping
1000-1200/ha is recommended. The moment to start protection is very important. With the planting or just before planting, recommend quantity of traps should be placed in production area. Traps should be checked frequently to check if the traps are full with pests. Fully covered traps with pests, waned sticky surface, have to be changed with new ones. This method should be continued whole production period.
